I know supply and demand (or lack of) killed off the Mark LT here in the States, but our amigos in Mexico have purchased upwards of 6,000 of them since 2005. So, to keep this very small ball rolling down south, Lincoln has introduced the new 2010 Mark LT. Basically a Ford F-150 Platinum with Lincoln badging and a new grille, power comes from the same 5.4-liter V8 creating 310 hp. The truck is rated to tow 10,000 lbs. with either a 5.5 foot or 6.5 foot bed. So, how many Americans can you fit inside a 2010 Mark LT? I guess not very many. Gallery after the jump.

The Dark Side Of Car Art: Darth Vader Hood

Is that a lightsaber he’s holding or a microphone? I’m not sure why, but Vader always struck me as a lead guitar kind of guy, not a frontman.

Kids Heart GT-R wagon 2

As an on-the-go parent, one must have a vehicle that provides flexibility, performance and value. But what happens when the little league playoffs fall on the same weekend as the D1 GP? The tuners at Kids Heart of Japan have a solution for you. This one-off GT-R wagon is sure to turn a few heads (and possibly some stomachs) at the car pool. I know what you’re thinking. Is it a GT-R turned wagon or a wagon turned GT-R? Some things are best left after the jump.

Thank God, I had just about run out of new ways to kill myself while driving. Luckily, Audi is there to provide the new A8 with handwriting recognition. So not only is this technological powerhouse sporting a 40GB hard drive, twin CPUs, NVIDIA graphics and an optional TV tuner, now you can simply write out your destination and choose it from a list. Next up, handwriting analysis. “Based on the exaggerated loops in your writing, you seem to be overcompensating for something.” Damnit, Audi. I was just looking for a Taco Bell.

Yoo-hoo

There is a small subset of the Donkiverse that I was completely clueless about until a boxed-out Chevy passed me the other day with Elmo plastered all over it. Are these guys looking for some sort of sponsorship to support their massive rim payments? Likely not. What I am sure of is that the more obscure the theme, the more hilarious in my book. Can I get a Preparation-H 90′s Caprice over here? Suzanne, you know what I’m talking about.

New Infiniti M To Get Virtual Launch At Pebble Beach, My Excitement Also Virtual

2008-Infiniti-M

If you caught CNN’s ridiculous display of technology on November 4th then you’ll probably agree that while holograms of stuff is cool, nothing beats the real deal. However, getting a C in marketing has taught me that if you don’t have something interesting to present, present it in an interesting way. At Pebble Beach in August, Infiniti will unveil the next-generation M sedan to the public in the form of a full-scale rendering using projectors. Infiniti senior manager of product communications praises the virtual mapping and reminds us that from a distance it will look like a real car. But it won’t be. I only wish I could be there to see some hammered aristocrat, drunk on mimosas, try to climb inside. The non-fictional version is set to arrive in dealerships in the first quarter of 2010.

I smell a little overhype by the car blogs, but I’ve got two cents burning a hole in my pocket, so what the hell. There are rumblings that General Motors will be selling Volts on eBay. The idea is that the highly anticipated electric car can yield the sticker premium it deserves without dealers looking like greedy A-holes in the process. Chevrolet brand manager Ed Peper was quoted as saying, “It’s something that’s definitely crossed our mind.” Some people are making it sound like GM will be completely circumventing the dealers and screwing them out of desperately needed revenue. Not quite.

Look Ma, no cords! Though there is a preponderance of electric vehicles in the works and few on the road, Nissan is already hard at work on improving them. Using inductive charging methods recently perfected on smaller devices like cell phones, Nissan’s upcoming Zero Emission Vehicle will be able to charge wirelessly inside a special parking bay. Even better is their plan to help charge your car on the way to work.
