The droptop variant of the super-performance Audi TT-RS unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show a few weeks ago, the Audi TT-RS Roadster will be making its first official appearance at the Leipzig Motor Show next week. Luckyily, Audi was apparently too impatient to keep the Roadster under wraps until the show and generously provided our hungry souls (what can we say? We’re Audi fans, so sue us) with all the juicy press release goodness we could handle. Constructed with Audi’s super-lightweight aluminum Audi Space Frame (ASF), the TT-RS Roadster shares its hardtop brethren’s need for speed with a 2.5L turbocharged 5-cycilder engine capable of cranking out a whopping 340-horsepower. According to Audi, the TT-RS Roadster also shares the TT-RS Coupe’s 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration time of 4.7 seconds, though we feel confident assuming that time only stands with the top up.
