Audi is planning a massive overhaul of their current lineup to take place over the course of the next few years, and to get us a little excited about the new plans (and by “us” I mean “members of the 35% tax bracket”), Audi has released a few teaser sketches of the impending revisions. The first in the rendered lineup (as well as the first model slated to get a real-world makeover) is the Audi A5, which will add both a convertible and a sportback variant to its luxurious family. Following in correct numerical order, the Audi A7 four-door coupe is expected to hit dealer lots in 2010 as Audi’s response to the Mercedes-Benz CLS and could possibly receive a super performance RS edition as the model year progresses. Last but certainly not least, the Audi A8, Audi’s flagship sedan, will shed its stodgy skin of model years past in favor of a sportier, more aggressive style. Expected to drop in either late 2010 or early 2011, the Audi A8 is tentatively planned to be offered in both V6 and V8 form with a white-knuckle 620-hp V10 S8 model rounding out the Audi line.
