We just recently posted up that Ferrari had issued a recall to all the owners of their new 458 Italia super car. The reason is simple… the damn things keep catching on fire. Who knows, maybe the above owner was on his way to the dealership when this little mishap took place. My question is who covers the car in a situation like this. Does Ferrari take the brunt of the replacement cost since the problem is a known issue or does this go through ones insurance? Either way I just hope that the owners of these flambe’d Ferrari’s got out safely and made it to the market in time for some marshmallows.
