That '67 IS freaking beautiful... let there be no doubt about that, but...

Come on now, where I grew up in California anyone who even knows what a Mustang is would sell their grandma's gold teeth for a 64 1/2 convertible. And no Shelby's? I know, I know everybody has their favorites. It only seems right though, that this list have the top 10.

And I fully understand how many people truly love the Mach 1 but good gawd... yes, it's fast ...we know, but it looks like something that Borat would buy after hitting it big in Vegas. That has got to be one of the ugliest pieces of metal ever assembled. From the small, sporty Stangs that came before it to... to... THAT THING.

I can appreciate the amount of "underrated" hp Ford stuffed into the '71, but compared to its predecessors a year or two beforehand, it was an ugly sign of an ugly future. It will be best remembered for playing the original Eleanor and will seem nostalgic to those who saw the Mustang II come right after it. But in the grand scheme of things, cars like the 93 Cobra or even the Terminators of 2003-2004 are much more worthy of admission to a list of the five best mustangs for their horsepower credentials, despite their (admittedly) garish appearances when compared with the classics that made the mustang name so popular.

Otherwise, right on the dot! Great list.
