Any male who is under the age of 30 is most likely familiar with the television series Street Customs. This series features the guys from West Coast Customs doing specialty one off custom car builds for the rich and famous in Southern California. Started by entrepreneur and custom car guru Ryan Friedlinghaus in 1993, West Coast Customs has grown in strength and size to a company that not only produces automobiles, but apparel and merchandise as well.

It has now been reported that former Shelby American president Amy Boylan has taken the helm of West Coast Customs to ensure the companies future growth and success. According to Ryan Friedlinghaus, West Coast Customs CEO: “Amy fit right in with my crew because she’s a car enthusiast like us, and like us, she believes that you need to balance creative, irreverent ideas with smart business practices”.

Boylan has previously worked with West Coast Customs back in 2006 when she helped them created a one-off Shelby Mustang GT and prior to that she held the title of Senior Vice President at Mattel and was responsible for the companies Hot Wheels toy cars division.

Are you kidding me right now? Ryan barely knows how to spell his own name let alone know the meaning of irreverent. Fired from Mattel and fired from Shelby, the only logical place she can go it West Coast Customs where she can continute to con, lie, and defraud unsuspecting customers into thinking they actually got a “one-of-a-kind”. Surprised she isn’t floating face down somewhere yet. What goes around comes around and she’ll get hers after all her deceit and outright theft.

Was there an old president at wcc? or is it a “save face campaign” to create a title? I mean how big is wcc to have a president?
