The Amik A2 looks fit to engage invading UFOs in spectacular physics-defying dogfights over earth’s besieged cities. But the experimental electric automobile was made in a guy’s workshop. The A2 was made by the late James Amik and recently appeared at the 2010 Maker Faire in California. James’ son Douglas brought the spacey car to the festival for show and tell. According to the Amiks, the car’s unique shape actually uses air currents to provide boost. The car hasn’t been extensively tested to prove or disprove the claim, but it sure looks awesome. The A2 was originally equipped with aluminum-air batteries, but they died quite some time ago.
