Based on Ford’s C-platform the C-Max shares its underpinnings with the new Ford Focus and Mazda 5 and will be the first Ford vehicle to have rear sliding doors in quite some time. Configured as a small 7 passenger base line mini-van, the C-Max will fill an empty slot that was left open when the last Ford minivan, the Windstar, stopped being produced in 2003.
Power options have yet to be released, but we could possibly see engine choices to include the 1.6 L, 1.8 L and 2.0 L aluminum Duratec engine with declared 160-180 and 200 hp.
