When Dodge came out with the redesigned Charger back in 2005, MOPAR purists and enthusiasts went a little nuts. You see the Charger came equipped with four doors, something that was a big no-no considering that every Charger before it was of the two door variety. From a marketing perspective the car made perfect sense. Big coupes are a hard sell, and in today’s marketplace large four door sedans are where the money is. However, that didn’t stop the public from giving Dodge a media lashing on all the blogs and enthusiast forums. A few years later in 2008 we were treated to the Dodge Challenger. It was a beautifully crafted modern interpretation of the original 1970 version and for the most part quelled the enthusiast rants about the four-door Charger. However, it’s now 6 years later and the Charger has once again been redesigned with the same four doors. At this point the Charger faithful know that a two door unit is not in the cards, but that didn’t stop one artist from doing the best rendering that I’ve seen to date. Take a look and tell us what you think.
