2012 Camaro Z28

Bumble Bee, the super robot from the movie Transformers may have the ability to blow stuff up at will and become a 45 foot robot, but he doesn’t look nearly as good as this 2012 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 rendering done by Jon Sibal. We last brought you some of Sibal’s work when we posted a rendering of the Ferrari 458 GT, a car that we simply called the SEX MACHINE. Well people, I’ve got news, this new Camaro isn’t too far off that prancing horse from across the sea. If this rendering is at all correct then John Sibal has managed to visually seduce this die-hard Mopar guy.

The best part about this design is that Sibal has managed to get us all thinking about the “what if’s” again. For instance, what if that air-inlet on the hood is actually functional and what if it comes with those beautiful 20-inch wheels. Now that would make for one bitchin’ hot rod. We know that the new Camaro Z/28 is going to get a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, we just don’t know if it will be out of the Corvette ZR1 or the Cadillac CTS-V. I have a feeling it will be its own variant and tuned somewhere between the 550hp Ford Shelby GT Mustang and the 638 hp ZR1. If Chevy does this then both Ford and Chrysler will be sent back to the drawing board.

Well drawing looks great. I hope the Real Z28 looks just as good, if not better. I really dont think the z28 will be able to compete with the 2011 shelby gt500, unless you keep both of them bone stock, which most people wont. The z28 will be heavier, but especially the z28 engine is Not built with blower pistons and reinforced lower end and the Shelby is, so s/c boost will be very limited and low on heavier z28, and for that very fact will lose to the 2011 Shelby. I’ve seen alot of shelby’s at the drags, some with 800 rwhp and ohers with over 1000rwhp on the stock lower end of engine. They run 9’s and 10’s all day. They are incredible. And they are Mod friendly. But it is Good for the all American HP wars .Thats just IMO.
