These tests are extremely asinine. Duh the bike is going to win. Why not test it against another sports bike? This is just as stupid as the twin turbo charged escalade that BARELY beat a stock GTR....What's the point?

Hmmm...why does this apple taste just like an orange?

Are you freakin' kidding me? A little clarification - the 2010 GT-R has 485bhp, not 530 (the 2012 has 530bhp, but is not the car in the video).

Doesn't matter, ANY sportbike should smoke a road car on a track; particularly a short, twisty one. Motorcycles have power to weight ratios that street cars can't touch - and the acceleration is not in the same league (my Honda CBR600F3 did 0-60 in about 3 sec and the 1/4 mi in 10.5 - IN 1996!. The Aprilia has DOUBLE the horsepower and is only 30lbs heavier, plus is 15 years newer technology).

The fact that the car took some very wide lines around turns to let the bike pass him on the inside (and for a photo opp), is indicative of the stupidity of this video. A 2012 GT-R would have been closer, but not faster than the bike on such a short, twisty course.

This video just makes it look like Aprilia is afraid to put their new superbike up against other two-wheeled competition. Desmo RR? 1198? GSX-R, etc.?

The surprise here is that it was as close as it was.
