Last week I told you guys about the IMPA test day that I attended up at Bear Mountain State Park in upstate NY. I also mentioned the new 571 hp Mercedes Benz SLS, how I got to drive it, as well as how much I liked it. Now in a move that I suppose was inevitable Mercedes looks to be doing some final testing on the new 2011 SLS Roadster. The video definitely gives us some tell tale signs of what to expect. The first thing to notice are the conventional door handles that are fitted as opposed to the bottom mounted ones on the coupe. The wheel and brake combo look to be the same as well. From the video it’s hard to determine whether the roadster is going to have a conventional fold away soft top or a rigid hard top. What’s interesting here is that Mercedes was parading these things around without a care in the world. The camouflage on the cars was minimal at best, but it showed just enough action to get people talking about the new SLS Roadster.
