Following the 2011 Peugeot RCZ in the first wave of pre-Frankfurt reveals, the 2011 Hyundai Tucson has made a quasi-debut in the form of two high-res renderings. Badged for the European market as the ix35, the refreshed Tucson will share the German spotlight with the slightly revised Santa Fe, both of which are expected to further aid Hyundai in their aggressive pursuit of affordable luxury.
Like its Bimmer-fighting brethren, the Equus and the Genesis, the 2011 Tucson appears poised to take on luxury C-Segment contenders like the BMW X3 and the Volvo XC60 with a new, road-hugging stance and aerodynamic body molding. Of course, as is customary with pre-show reveals, technical specifications and official photographs have been withheld, meaning we’ll have to wait for the barrage of detailed press releases to drop in a few weeks before divulging any more information. Until then, you can sate your rabid Hyundai lust with the teaser images below and check back later for official updates.
