2011 Honda Odyssey

You may not believe this but I love minivans… seriously, I do. From a utilitarian standpoint they are probably the best vehicle on the planet to get us humans through everyday life. They’re big, seat up to eight passengers with all the creature comforts of home and at the end of the day they’ll even haul that old couch you have in the basement to the local dump. Chrysler fired the first shot in the minivan war back in 1984 with the original Dodge Caravan. What was basically a box on wheels with some extra seats not only revolutionized how we move people, but spawned an entirely new segment in the industry.

Fast forward 26 years and just about every auto manufacturer has some type of minivan variant, some are good, others are simply adequate. In 1995 Honda threw its hat into the minivan arena with the release of the Odyssey and since then they have never looked back. Now in its fifth generation Honda continues to refine their class leader and for 2011 has updated it even further by giving us a brand new, more aggressive Odyssey.

One look at the upcoming 2011 Honda Odyssey and you can see it has a much sportier design. HID headlights, 18 inch alloy wheels and 12.6 inch front disc brakes all help the Odyssey appeal to a younger generation. The key for 2011 it seems was to give the Odyssey as many new comfort features as possible while still maintaining Honda’s legendary reliability and usability. Available 10-way power adjustable leather-trimmed front seating, Honda satellite-linked navigation system with voice activation, split screen entertainment system, a media tray with beverage holder, cold drink cooler, 150 AC power outlet and a 3.5-liter V6 that is said to deliver 19/28 miles per gallon according to preliminary EPA mileage estimates, help to push the Odyssey even further ahead of the competition. Keep an eye out for this new minivan masterpiece as it will be going on sale this fall. For more information check out http://automobiles.honda.com/future-cars/.

Yeah, I agree. Honda did a good job with this one. Minivans are better than those stupid SUVs for moving a large number of people (>4) around.
Now about the CR-Z Honda. WTF
