2011 Ford Mustang V6 Promo Video
Buying a Ford Mustang V6 used to be a compromise. You wanted the looks of the Mustang, but didn’t want to pay the insurance premium for the V8. Maybe you didn’t care about the insurance, but you couldn’t cough up the extra cash for the big motor, or you couldn’t handle the weekly fuel bill of the GT. The days of V6 Mustangs being a consolation prize may soon be over, as Ford tries to emphasize in the above promo video.
The 305 hp V6 will be lighter than the V8, and in stock form offers better mileage. You can get the same upgraded suspension on the V6 as you can on the V8, and it won’t be long before someone is making a turbo kit for the V6. At 350 to 400 hp, the Mustang V6 becomes a very viable alternative to the V8, especially if you run the occasional track day. What’s your call – modded V6 or V8?
