Anyone who knows me knows that my favorite movie off all time is Smokey and the Bandit. You’ve got Burt Reynolds (before the plastic surgery), Sally Field and of course Jackie Gleason as Sheriff Buford T. Justice of Texas. Then there is the real star of the movie, the 1977 Pontiac Trans AM. Sure it is painfully slow, but back then that’s all we had and with the big screaming chicken on the hood you couldn’t deny that this thing was macho… gold chains and all. Now it seems that a Porsche fan wants to see the movie remade, but this time, with something that has a little more umph under the bonnet.

Ladies and gentleman I give you the 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Bandit Edition. Now I’m not really sure what the Germans will say about this, but my gut tells me that they’re going to go buck wild over it. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if Porsche puts this into production almost immediately.
