2012 Nissan Rogue SV FWD: RideLust Review
Subaru is recalling 2010 Ouback and Legacy models built between July 31 and December 1, 2009 for a potential crack in the transmission cooler hose. If left unchecked, the crack can cause a leak of transmission fluid, resulting in potentially unsafe operating conditions. Since transmission fluid is petroleum based, I suppose there’s a fire danger as well if the fluid hits a hot exhaust system component, although Subaru hasn’t identified this as a likely result.
About 29,500 units are affected, all equipped with the CVT transmission. Subaru will begin contacting owners in the near future, but Outback and Legacy owners with questions can contact Subaru customer service at (800) 782-2783.
