Recently, official photos of both the 2010 Porsche Cayman and 2010 Porsche Boxster cropped up in AutoWeek. With their official debut still months away, the new images are purportedly internal “leaks” meant to drum up enthusiasm for the new models. Unfortunately, judging by the extremely minute revisions to the front fascia and rear taillights, the legitimacy of these photos is open to speculation.

Incredibly unexciting pictures aside, what we are interested in seeing (or driving, rather) is the new PDK (Porsche Doppel Kupplung) dual-clutch transmission both 2010 S-model Porsche’s will be equipped with. In addition, both the 2010 Cayman and the 2010 Boxster will receive fuel-efficient revisions to their powertrain, at least one of which is a 10-horsepower decrease of questionable wisdom.
