Running the One Lap of America last week was a real eye opener, as it gave me the opportunity to see some high end cars run flat out on the race track. One such car was a dark blue 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo and my God was this thing impressive. Not only was the car a beauty on the outside, but inside it was pure GT car luxury. Hand stitched leather seats, navigation, as well as a full bevy of electronics made the 911 Turbo a sight to behold. The video above shows a 2010 Porsche 911 turbo with the new PDK transmission running a 10.7 @ 129.7 MPH. Keep in mind that this car has been modified by EVOMS to include a set of upgraded 65mm Billet turbochargers, headers, free flowing cats, 70mm sport exhaust system and a custom tuned ECU. That’s a decent amount of work over a stock vehicle.
Now take a look at these pictures. What you are seeing here is a BONE STOCK 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo that ran 0:10.904 at the drag strip at Tulsa Raceway last week. Some people may call bullshit on this, but I can tell you that those #’s are correct, as I was there and saw it happen with my own eyes. The new 2010 911 Turbo is not only blisteringly fast, but comfortable and reliable as well. It is a car that will appeal to those looking for something that is a little out of the norm. I’m not a Porsche guy, but based on what I saw this car do last week, the new 2010 911 Turbo might be slowly changing that.
