2009 Scion tC Release Series 5.0 Now Available

2009 Scion tC Release Series 5.0
For those that are fans of the Scion line, and for some reason I feel ashamed to admit that I am, customization is highly encouraged by the long list of available dealer and factory options. As an example and further encouragement, Scion has packaged together many Toyota Racing Development (TRD) parts and offered it as the 2009 tC RS (Release Series) 5.0.

2009 tC RS 5.0 Interior
Available since last month, only 2000 examples of the tC RS 5.0 will be produced, but those that would like to duplicate the same vehicle should not have any trouble picking up the rather lengthy list of options that have gone into the vehicle. Some of those items include 19-inch wheels, lower springs, a rear sway bar, sport exhaust and an optional lip spoiler.

TRD Badging on the RS 5.0
Inside the interior sports more of the special TRD badging, a leather steering wheel and black seats with red stitching and inserts. Despite the various add ons, the RS 5.0 is only a very reasonable $2,300 more than the regularly priced $17,000 (manual) or $17,800 (automatic) tC. One thing from the TRD catalog missing from the package, however, is a supercharger, which if otherwise added, pushes power of the coupe up to 200 hp. That option can be had for an additional $3,200. Just like the model T, the tC RS 5.0 only comes in black.
