2009 Honda Accord Touched By The Mugen Magic

Succeeding the 2009 Honda Accord’s official unveiling in Japan by only a few days, the Honda tuning specialists of Mugen have already released performance upgrade packages for the 2009 Accord. Available for both the sedan and the wagon, the Mugen Accord tuning treatment consists of a full bodykit which includes new front and rear spoilers, ‘aero’ bumpers, side sills, four different 18″-19″ alloy wheel options, and a massive rear wing (you knew it was coming, why fight it?).

Underneath the hood, Mugen chose to leave the 2.4L engine (no, not a misprint, Japanese Accord’s come standard with the Acura TSX’s 2.4L 5-speed automatic powertrain) alone, but did add a sport suspension, high-performance brake pads and rotors, and a sport exhaust system (yes, they went there). So to summarize, Mugen has now made available to the Japanese market the same irritating exhaust/rear spoiler upgrades every grocery/newspaper/delivery boy in the continental U.S. has had since approximately 1993.

Cue fanboy/Mugen representative hatemail in 3…2..
