2006 Corvette

GM is announcing the recall of approximately 40,000 Corvettes, built between March of 2004 and January of 2006. Repeated movement of the tilt / telescopic steering wheel may impact the signal sent to vehicle electronics, causing the “Service Active Handling System” warning light to illuminate. If this causes an unexpected deployment of the brakes, a driver could lose control of the vehicle.

Corvette owners can find their build dates on the driver’s door or door jamb. Owners with questions or concerns can contact Chevrolet at (800) 630-2438 or GMC at (866) 996-9463.
