Dorm system did not expand except in the 70's. That is why you needed a car that was:1-Convertible, 2-Has a BIG couch in the back seat,and 3-Low priced, that you can afford to buy one on your high school or college budget (your parents would help making part of the payments). Then it was the American dream to work and buy a house, so you wont get laid in your car anymore. Sorry to say it, but none of these cars are ready for sex in the back seat on regular basis for the eight years of high school and college, on college budget.
